Palazzo San Francesco is one of the oldest and most fascinating buildings in Domodossola. It was built along the perimeter walls of a majestic 13th-century and is now home to an ever-changing museum. The ground floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions, on the first floor is the Natural Science Museum and on the second floor is the Art Gallery, the Archaeological section, Sacred Art and a selection of drawings.
Palazzo San Francesco, which you can find 50 metres from our residence, is today a collection of many museums that tell the story of a border area, which on one side looks towards Italy and on the other towards neighbouring countries, in particular Switzerland and France.
